A Brief Profile of Franchisee

A) Franchisees responsibilities

1. The franchisee will act as an autonomous unit in his allotted areas operating under the name and style of City Courier Service and will be responsible for the relevant facets of a complete business operation i.e as desired by and under the guidance of the company. The franchisees will have both a marketing and an operation setup. The cost of such setup will be franchisee’s responsibility.

2. The franchisee will be responsible for pickup of packets from the customers premises, pouching of the same, documenting and forwarding the pouch to the desitnations/station/our otc using our organized facility) at his cost. The franchisees will also deliver the incoming documents from various destinations.

3. All operational stationery i.e Consignment notes/courier manifests etc, have to be standardized items. Hence, franchisees will be supplied with be supplied necessary stationery at cost.

4. The franchisees will have to prepare documentatio/maintain records in the formats prescribed by the company, who will ensure the necessary training to the franchisee’s personnel.

B) Franchisee’s Earning/ expenses

1.As per the market survey conducted in your City/Area, we conclude that within 3 to 6 months of commencing operations, subject to proper marketing, the franchisee should be earning a minimum of Rs._____/- per month on the basis of rates specified by us.

2.The considered opinion based on experience is that costs(on the basis of minimum billing) on a all inclusive basis, i.e salaries, stationery, flight/transportation of the packets,telephone,overheads and sundries) work out to 70% of revenue. Therefore, on the basis of projected minimum billing of Rs.______/- per month you will be earning( for yourself after all expenses including our network charges) a minimum of Rs.______/- per month.

C) Franchisee Fee/Deposit Account

1.Immediately on signing of the franchisee agreement, the franchisee will have to deposit a sum of Rs.______/- with the company.

2.This deposit is refundable to the franchisee on termination of the franchisee agreement (subject to 3 months’ notice by the franchisee).

3.Please note that since the deposit amount is being held to meet expenses on the franchisee account, there is obviously no interest payable on this amount.

4.If the franchisee terminates the agreement before completion of one year, an amount of Rs._____/- will be recovered as incidental expenses.
